Although The Play House receives no ongoing funding, the company has had a good relationship with the Arts Council over many years.ACE has funded many Language Alive! tours over the years through Grants for the arts, giving the company invaluable opportunties for creative development. Through its Digital Content Development fund it has helped to fund the creation of these online resources too.

 

The Heritage Lottery Fund has been able to support many of the company’s heritage projects over the years.The site-specific work has in particular benefitted, and has allowed us to mount projects at venues such as Sarehole Mill, Birmingham Botanical Gardens, Museum of the Jewellery Quarter, and BM&AG’s Collection Centre
BeBirmingham is the local strategic partnerhsip, and has supported the company in two different ways.Through its Social Enterprise fund the partnerhsip has helped The Play House to create new jobs, develop its infrastructure, and support its development as a social enterprise.Through its Active Citizenship fund The Play House has a developed an intergenerational project exploring the rich community around the Ladypool Road.
