We’re back in the office after a break over the summer and it’s all change. We moved into our new home at the REP shortly before the end of last term and have been made very welcome. There’s lots happening all over the building this week as the theatre reopens along with the new Library of Birmingham. The new building looks amazing and the new Studio theatre shared by the REP and the library looks set to be a great new performance space, so come along and have a look if you haven’t already.
Rehearsals have begun for our autumn programme. Juliet is working on a new version of The Little Match Girl, and we are delighted to be working with REP Assistant Director John Haidar and freelancer Julie Baker on the project. John Crane will be creating puppets and props for the piece and Gerry Smith will be working on a storytelling song. Our new intern, Lily Page will be working with Simon on our popular programme on bullying, No Kidding and Malcolm is working on Stargazing about the pioneering astronomer Galileo.
As part of our partnership with the REP, we’re going to be regularly presenting Language Alive! performances in the Door as part of the First Stages programme, starting on Saturday 7 September with Hansel and Gretel. For more details and to book tickets, click here
