Autumn tours

Sarah-Jane

It’s the start of the new school year and we’re all really busy at The Play House getting ready for this term’s tours.

Juliet is working on a new programme, Rummage that was developed in partnership with our friends at Theatre Company Blah Blah Blah in Leeds that looks at themes of recycling and the environment. Simon is working on Spinning a Yarn, a retelling of the story of The Emperor’s New Clothes that incorporates an exciting practical weaving activity. Malcolm is busy with The Little Match Girl, where Hans Christian Andersen’s classic tale is relocated to Victorian Birmingham to look at the plight of child workers.

There’s still time to book – check out the new programme here or call the office on: 0121 265 4425 to discuss available dates.

As well as a new programme, we have two new interns working with us, Julie Marley and Rory McGhie who have just graduated from Birmingham School of Acting’s Applied Theatre course. They’re really looking forward to getting out into schools and we wish them both all the best.
