Arts & Culture 

The Play House supports Arts and Cultural Organisations to enrich their offering and diversify the work they deliver.

 

Versatile and creative, The Play House team works in various ways to encourage new ways of working and engaging audiences. 



New Art Gallery Walsall 

The Play House has partnered with The New Art Gallery Walsall to deliver interactive storytelling sessions that compliment the gallery collection. Performances are for Family Audiences. We also have specific performances for ASD audiences available at quieter times. Performances have included Little Red Hen, The Gingerbread Man, Spidery Stories, The Selfish Giant.

Rugby Musuem & Art Gallery

The Play House performanced 'Anansi the Spider' at the Rugby Museum as part of Black History Month 2022. Adapted from our schools touring programme Anansi was publicly performed to family audiences to diversify the galleries art provision and approach to engaging audiences.

CoCoMAD Festival, B'ham

The Play House pop-up storytelling sessions and drama workshops have been seen at various events including CocoMAD! Rain or shine, our set-up allows for meaningful participation from all ages. The sessions are engaging and creative, bespoke to the event and it's themes.

Black Country Living Museum 

The Play House has worked with BCLM to enrich their event delivery and diversify event content. Integrated into the events, The Play House team has delivered Museum storytrails and activities, fireside storytelling, Halloween spooktacular experiences and pop-up storytelling.

Library of Birmingham

The Play House have developed interactive storytelling sessions for family audiences that have been performed in public spaces such as The Library of Birmingham. Highly engaging and participatory, the sessions are enjoyed by all ages.

Midlands Arts Centre, (MAC) B'ham

The Play House has developed various storytrails over the years, one of our most popular is at Cannon Hill Park - MAC Birmingham. For Early years family audiences, the trail is an adventure and interactive journey to discover new things.
